On October 25th of 2010, one of my best friends committed suicide because he was being bullied very badly at school. Jesse had some learning problems, but he was the nicest kid anyone could ever meet. Every day when you saw him, no matter who you were, he would tell you, "Have a nice day!" with a huge smile on his face. He didn't tell anyone, even his closest friends, about the bullying. We'd known each other since we were 4. He would've been 18 the following January. Apparently, Jesse was one of about 15 bullying-related suicide cases in our area during that month. Since then, there has been a lot of activism to stop bullying from happening. I never knew how bad it could be. I thought people who committed suicide from being bullied were weak and didn't know how to solve their problems. Now that I've found out the horrible things that were being done to my best friend, I know differently, and I know how much of a problem this is. Please help to end bullying! Rest in peace, Jesse, I love you!!!
