Devil May Cry & God Of War SvR 2010 Caws

The 1st two caws are ruff work ups I did of spider-man and venom so i can see what direction I want to go with them and should not be viewed or judged as the final versions. The 2nd set of caws is Kratos from God of war and Dante form Devil May Cry. I'm pretty much done with Kratos and really I'm only toying around with the idea of givien him his God armor. For Dante the only thing I'm really thinking about changing/added on him is his current devil trigger. I was originally going to create his father Sparta as his alt form, but the set of items i wanted to use for that couldn't be used with the item for dante version.

A lot of ppl ask me how did I come up with a character, How did I know how to make so & so, where did i get the formula from, can they have my formula,etc. I don't get formulas from anywhere & I don't write any formulas down for my characters. When I get a idea for a character I look for the basic items( pant's shoes,shirt,etc) that best match the characters look. Once I find thoses I then get a picture of the character from online to look at so I don't miss any details. Once I have the basic items and the picture I then start working on colors and going through all the designs,tat,body,paint,etc to find what matches what I'm looking for. This is where a lot of trial & error come in. Once all that is done I then start working on the body shape and face. It normally takes me anywhere from 1-3 hours to make a caw depending on the level of detail. It takes less time if the caw is a type that I can use some of my regular design tricks on(like how to make robot looking parts, or comic book skin tights,etc). The Kratos caw is a good example of a 3hr caw. The hardest part for him was morphing the face.
