Geo Archeo Circular Argument Pt2

Geology and Archeology date earth and artifact in a circular system based upon the now rejected & defunct theory of Stratigraphy.
Charles Lyell (a liar) invented a theory called Stratigraphy. This was the mother of "millions and billions of years". Geology has based their assignment of dates to layers of earth based on Stratigraphy. Archeology also based their system on Stratigraphy. Today, If you ask a Geologist how a layer of earth is dated, they will tell you it is based upon the dating of artifacts found therein.

If you ask an Archeologist how the artifacts are dated, he will tell you it is dated according to the layer of earth in which it was discovered.

That is a circular argument. They both date based on each other. The real origin of dating goes back to Stratigraphy and Charles Lyell.

Sorry man, but the earth is 6000 years old Fundamentalist Christian thinking is way old school. It actually keeps people away from faith in Jesus.

I believe in delayed creationism, for the scientific proof of dinosaur bones, and the grand canyon are PROOF, that the earth is NOT 6000 years old.

Its time for you to re-examine your faith with God true creation.

The Bible states the world is round. It was science in the dark ages which taught a flat earth, not God's word.

A canyon one-third the size of the Grand Canyon was created in a few hours when Mono Lake drained after the volcano erupted and blew out the side.

The world was covered in water for one year, then drained off. THAT water created a run-off channel.

I used to think just like you with a hard core funamentalist view on creation. But there is too much evidence of God's creation to give the earth a 6000 year view.

I think the biggest evidience of this are dinosaur remains. They debunk 1000% the 6000 year old creation view.

You don't have to believe in the 6 day earth creation to be saved and be a real Christian. Delayed creationism is being accepted more and more in Christian circles.

Sadly, this video producer thinks stratigraphy has something to do with Lyell. It doesn't. Stratigraphy is perfectly valid and firmly established as part of modern geology. And you can't just "recalibrate" the carbon-14 dating axes. The rate of decay is a well-known scientific fact. This video's assertion that the dating chart can be "recalibrated" is equivalent to redefining the freezing point of water. Yes, in an alternate world redefined reality, YEC can be proven. But not in our world.

@revandude Remember that creation also bears witness of God's handiwork. So we must take into account God's creation, not just the biblical test account only, because it can be mistranslated.

Just like in the day of Galileo who almost got killed by the Catholic Church for saying the earth was not the center of the universe, today we are in the same boat with 6000 year old creationist. Its time to move on from that view, and examine faith as Galileo did.

William Smith for stratigraphy, which is still part of geology and very useful. You do have some strange ideas about science. Stratigraphic dating is relative dating and is confirmed by radiometric dating.

As for dinosaurs, there is not one single record of humans drawing, or writing about huge T-Rex type dinosaurs. Only the book of Job describes ONE large creature.

You really believe Noah had a T-Rex in the Ark when it does not say so?
