Warbirds Over Delaware 2011 - Mac Hodges Bell X-1 and B-29 Show

Mac Hodges' group does an incredible show with a 20 foot B-29 dropping a rocket powered Bell X-1. After the X-1 lands, he does an insane aerobatic routine with the B-29 that is not to be believed until you see it.

What a beautiful B-29! The X-1 was a very nice addition too. The B-29 goes vertical on take off!

Incredible performance! That spin really put my heart in my throat, especially considering the level of investment! And the outside loop was delightful! It took me back to the boyhood romanticism of the outside loop scene in "The Great Waldo Pepper".

Looping on final? It takes a lot of skill to make it look that easy!

This video has convinced me to attend the next event. It really captures what aviation is about. Thanks for sharing!
