Bentonia Blues Festival 2010 presented by Yazoo County CVB

Whos ready for the blues? The annual Bentonia Blues Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 19, 2010 in the heart of downtown Bentonia, Mississippi! This event will happen at the home place of the historic Blue Front Café!

The festival kicks off with the sounds of gospel from local groups at 9:00 am. At 1:00 pm, blues performers will take the stage. There will be food, family activities & games, arts & crafts, and more starting at 9:00 am!

Thursday, June 17, 2010 - "M for Mississippi: A Road Trip through the Birthplace of the Blues" movie screening @ the Triangle Cultural Center. 7:00 pm until. FREE!

Friday, June 18, 2010 - "Unwind after 5" at Blue Front Cafe in downtown Bentonia, MS....Jam Sessions with Jimmy "Duck" Holmes and other local favorites! 5:05 pm until. FREE refreshments. Adult beverages available for purchase.



The public is encouraged to participate however they can. This is a HUGE event for Yazoo County, and it depends on volunteers and sponsorship to make it successful! For those interested in volunteering and/or sponsoring, call the Convention & Visitors Bureau at (662) 746-1815.
