  • Brilliant, Regan is my favourite USA president (yes, even surpassing in greatness the honourable Jefferson). As a Brit can confirm socialist medicine is an expensive and inefficient way of supplying medical protection to the masses. .

  • WOW, a voice from the grave!!! A good one.

One wonders what Reagan would say if he was walking with us about Obama's healthcare.

  • Ronald Reagan was for sure a visionary, this soundclip is so propghetic...surely it brings you to a feeling of such pride in the leadership this great nation has brought forth who have brought us this far with our freedoms still intact. Now we call on the great leaders of today to follow in their footsteps and continue this course of Liberty.

  • calamagrostis, Enron was made possible by regulation. In fact the techniques used by enron are the basis for cap and trade.

regulations are written by the regulated. Matel recently secured a law requiring toys to be tested for hazards by testing them at the end of a process in a labratory at great expense. It makes sense to Matel that way because most of their toys are made elsewhere and they are already set up for this process, the law serves them well. The small guy is ruined by this law.

  • it is still 20 million

  • And illegal Aliens.

  • Having fun with your ad hominem??? It does nothing to rebut MY POINT. I'm not arguing for Objectivism, I'm quite against its moral philosophy. /watch?v=zafjg8SyMjM

"My 'Heroes' are all merely great ideas concisely expressed by inspired if flawed men & women" -Asderathos

  • Ayn Rand, the Siren of Selfishness, Quote "If [people] place such things as friendship and family ties above their own productive work, yes, then they are immoral. Friendship, family life and human relationships are not primary in a man's life. A man who places others first, above his own creative work, is an emotional parasite."

  • Forgot to mark this as a quote...

"It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood." -James Madison (Father of the Constitution)

  • "Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others." -Ayn Rand

Minor simple laws against fraud and corruption would not be interference but enforcement of capitalism (which necessitates RULE OF LAW to even exist), lest it merely be economic Feudalism.

You obviously do not understand what capitalism is, while simultaneously denouncing it in name while attributing it only with facets of Keynesian socialism

  • I shall ignore your irrelevant partisan dichotomy.

It is only through the Big Govt bureaucracy that politicians are bought; an illegal corruption solved by rule of law not greater regulations which in and of their own complexity allow further corruption by making them legible only to the lawyer class

It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood.

  • Ha, You Republicans, every time we point out how the corporations are screwing us you turn around and blame it on the government, like if we had no regulations the free market would make a heaven on Earth. There never has been any "free market" there has only been a struggle between the common workers and ultra-rich elite who want ultra-advanced health care for themselves and the rest of us can go broke and die.
