August 21 2006, five years ago I posted my first youtube video. So, on this 5th anniversary I thought I would provide an updated tour of the hamshack. Plus I reflect back on some of the five years of posting.

A couple of things that I did not cover in the video.

Henry, the big ole floor amp is no longer, Henry has been replaced by AL, Ameritron AL-82.

I have a Hallicrafters SX-71 receiver. This alone is probably worth a video.

Also, I didn't show my Echolink node. A old PC interfaced using a Fox Delta interface to a Yaesu FT-7800 dual band radio. I am trying to have this on during the weekends. It does transmit locally on 446.00 FM.

  • Keep up the good work Randy! - how about contacting the Amateurlogic.tv guys - you could do a segment for them? that would be awesome!

  • @bbjunkie1023 George shot an interview with me at Leo's place. I heard from George that the video should be up next week. Keep checking amateurlogic.tv

  • Randy - Happy anniversary! I am a big fan of your channel and have really enjoyed the content. Kudos on your excellent videography skills. I sure do appreciate all your hard work.

Wish I had known your were at SEAPAC in Seaside, Oregon. That was my first ham event and it would have been icing on the cake to shake your hand.

  • @USNERDOC I offered to do a talk, but that didn't happen. I will be at Pacificon in Oct.
