Abune petros is an incredible humane being, his spiritual strength was as rock slid as it should be as a christian ABUN , he was a brave ABUN, but the rest of the amhara clergy did not take his courage as inspiration, i am not her to blame them because they had to choose between life and death. after all the centre judge for the excusion of abune PETROS wa Kifle wodajos father.

What a shame! beautiful history, beautiful music and what a great way of combining the two.... until the 4:34 minute mark, where you couldn't help interjecting nonesense politics. You took away from the honor and sacrifice of Abune Petros. I still want to show the video to my father and I need to find a way to cut out everything after the 4:34 mark.

this is why we have an eritrea, cause haile selaissse technically gave a leg away that leg being eritrea, drew a line and called it eritrea, haile selaisse was a coward for this

Here we have a video about our martyr but the discussion is about politics....and some even advocating violence and extermination....There is a place and time for politics. Abune Petros was a true Christian, not that I'm anybody to comment on his holiness, he was a true imitation of Christ; and in the END that's what it's all about for "Christ"ians.
Thank you for the video.

...but radical Arab states such as Syria, Iraq, Egypt sympathized with Eritrea as a predominantly Muslim region struggling to escape Ethiopian oppression and imperial domination. These 3 countries therefore supplied military and financial assistance to the ELF.
Some scholars have contended that the Eritrean issue was a religious issue, between the Muslim lowland population desiring independence while the highland Christian population sought a union with Ethiopia.

Wikipidia??? Not a reliable source, but as you wish,
In 1960 Eritrean exiles in Cairo founded the Eritrean Liberation Front. In contrast to the ELM, from the outset the ELF was bent on waging armed struggle on behalf of Eritrean independence. The ELF was composed mainly of Eritrean Muslims from the rural lowlands on the western edge of the territory. In 1961 the ELF's political character was vague..,

During the Federation the encroachment of the Ethiopian Crown was felt on the Chief Executive of Eritrea.
The Federal structure existed between 1952-09-15 and 1962-11-14.
On 1962-11-14 the Federation was officially dissolved and Eritrea was annexed by Ethiopia.

By the way, If Ethiopians HATE Arabs, why do Ethiopian migrate to Arab countries to work for the Arabs or let the Arab Alamuudi invest In Ethiopia?

Libi Tigray, Good you have facts, but here's more facts to concider.
UN Resolution 390-A(V) which established the Federation of Ethiopia and Eritrea was a structure between Eritrea and Ethiopia.
Prior to the annexation of Eritrea the Chief Justice of Eritrea was removed and the official Eritrean languages were eliminated in favor of Ethiopia's national language Amharic.

His Holiness Abune Petros, a great Symbol of struggle against oppression, I have an enormous admiration, respect and love for this man. He sacrificed himself heroically for Ethiopia without hesitation. He stayed loyal to his faith, people, God and himself until the end. R.I.P to a true Ethiopian, a true Orthodox, a true rider!!!
Good job killa!
