Thanks for taking us inside that mine, that's sated my curiosity. I've just been exploring one of the mines above Rachub and that was quite interesting.

Above LLanfairfechan there's a crossroads next to some pylons. Keep to the path towards Aber way then just head down a huge slope for about 100m and you see a small hole to climb in. ( please bear in mind it's been about 15 years since i been there so i'm only rough guess to where it is). Once your in the mine it goes to standing hight and you pass a 20 foot or so drop on the right. It not huge. Try Google Earth co-ordinates 53 13 45.30"w 30 56 40.22"w............

At Llanfairfechan, take the road through the village. Just before you you go on the A55, fork left on a country road which takes a left very soon. Up here is a house on another sharp with a bridleway (unmarked) at the right hand side.
Follow the path through the woodland (zig-zagging). Once out you will see a sharp right turn near the brow o the hill take this for about ¼ mile. You will see a large and obvious spoil heap below the footpath.
Where is the Aber mine pleeeeeease .... ?
