Do not know what the contention is all about,but I agree with micheal angel.David Yow is a brilliant poet and frontman,who is not an ego freak.Like Jackson Pollock though if you fuck with the man, you are in 4 a world of hurt.I love the dichotomy.An artist who can be abstract,complex,but wont take shit from pretentious little shits who admonish things they do not understand.I have T-shirts older than these little assholes who think cause they scored a fugazi patch from hot topic they are down.

Those bands were great, but then , you are so correct- the record labels signed a ton of shitty bands to find the next big hit punk/grunge thing. They flooded the market with mediocrity!!! :(
