  • i saw the tail on our bugger is puffy...i only use one feather the length of the shank...should i use more...thanks

  • It's all a matter of preference I think. Some books would have you believe that if you deviate one iota from the recipe that Satan will come knocking at your door. You can make it any size you want. This one was tied that way because I wanted a larger fluffier profile on a battle creek bugger for fishing in Alaska. It's meant to represent some sort of fleshy, egg sort of thing. But who knows what the fish really take it for....

  • ty, helped alot, what type of fly is that?

  • It's a battle creek bugger

  • i have a thing you could help me with!!:D lol

HELP!! NOT JUST ENYBODY!!HELP!! I SAID I NEED SOMEONE!! HEEEELP!!

  • It's probably a dubbing twister. Don't worry, I could always dub better with my fingers and a little wax anyway.

  • Thank you so very much for teaching the use of the whip finisher. I have been reluctant to buy one these but after watching you it makes it less scary. You went at a good speed in your presentation. Thanks

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I've been away from tying for awhile and just got back in. For the life of me I could not remember how the whip finisher worked. Sat at the desk for an hour one night and drove myself crazy! Still couldn't figure it out! Thank for the informative vid.

  • Thx can u do that fly for us pls thx

  • i recently started tying flies and i could not figure this thing out i had to do it with my fingers and after watching this im sure i can do it when i get home amazing instruction even an idiot like myself could do it after watching this thanks a million times

  • Flashback Max!

  • Great lesson man! Got it on my first try!

  • I am just now getting into fly tying. I recently took a fishing guide course and flytying was part of it. And I loved it. But some of the tools were somewhat intimidating. There were many there we didn't even use. LOL then I go to the fly shop and the plethera of tools they have there is rediculous! Can you go through some of the variety of different tools that are out there and the pro's and cons of them?

  • Great demonstration the clearest i've seen yet. recently i bought a lureflash daddy long legs tyer tool for tying legs in cock pheasent feathers there was no information on how to use it, if you could find out and let me now i would be very grateful. I look forward to your answer. Regards Alan

  • Thanks Flash. I've watched several of these how to do this videos, and couldn't quite figure it out until I saw yours. Most of them showed how to from the other side of the person doing so it was all backwards, and inside out to me. Your showing it from your prospective helped 200%. After watching you a couple of times, and a few minutes practice, I finally got it. Thanks again.
