A Guitar Hero Auto-player robot I am developing using Arduino. Currently I am prototyping it and figuring out how everything is gona work with the arduino board. This is the relay experiment, and I am happy to say that it was a full success on the first try. My setup in this video is the Arduino Diecimila, a Freeduino Protoboard with breadboard sticky, Archer universal breadboard, a 5mm green LED, a momentary pushbutton, and a SPST Reed Relay(5VDC, .5A at 125VAC).
@edsucksfredrocks The shield was just a standard protoshield(The one that has headers, and then just a bunch of holes on the board for soldering) I added a small adhesive breadboard to it for easier prototyping. As far as the code goes, I don't have it anymore, unfortunately. If I remember right, it was a simple"Check to see if button is pressed, if so, power relay coil, else ground relay coil"

What shield is that, and can u upload the code?

Ahh, well, I suppose you could salvage a button from another electronic device, though usually those buttons are surface-mounted, and don't have easy to solder to leads comming off of em.

hey u no the red switch can i find it anywhere in my house in anything because we dont got radio shack here lol

I got all the parts featured in this video, except for the Arduino, from Radio Shack for about $3. The red button is a N.O momentary switch, and the relay is a .5A, 5V micro relay. I hope that helps.
