The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a brilliant executive saloon. Sharp to look at - yet discreetly styled -- the car offers a high quality interior and impressive handling. An extensive engine range and three trim levels create plenty of choice. Even the cheapest E200 CDI turbodiesel models deliver good performance, while economy throughout the entire range impresses too. It might not drive with the precision of a BMW 5 Series or Jaguar XF, but the E-Class betters both for comfort and safety. The range-topping E500 and E63 AMG models provide impressive performance, with the E63 delivering an incredible 525bhp from its high-revving 6.2-litre V8 engine.

  • I love your reviews better than top gear ..... very informative as well .... keep up the good work mate cheers!

  • My employer provided me with two E-class MBs over the years. Each was very pleasant to drive but the service problems made them nightmares for the company. All sorts of things went wrong.

When I had to buy my own car I switched to a Lexus LS and will never return to the German brands. Handling isn't quite as precise, but, in my opinion, in all other respects, it's significantly superior.

  • Manual transmission? REALLY?

  • 2:05 to 2:13, You read my mind again.

  • Prefer BMW 5 series interior, and E. Class exterior.

  • @g3inbloom123 Maybe because he doesn't like emblems. Like me.

  • I would disagree that the E class delivers better on safety then the 5 series. The 5 series has significantly higher ratings in adult, child and pedestrian crash safety and earns a high safety assist rating -> euroncap

  • I get the impression that he freaking loves this car

  • I have one :D
