I know about an Hungarian boxer that suffered a fa li in the past, but there aren't open sources about it. @acquafredda75 You are right of course. Respect comes from action and results. I know that in the 1920ies the Yiquan fighters rocked and where well respected for their prowess. True to you comment I would not know about present day Yiquan fighters in the international arena. So I do not know how well they FIGHT these days. I have however experienced that their powerdelivery system is very strong. So I thought if boxers - who have the reputation, and for good reason - where to adopt ...
@blacksilkblacksilk Respect for sure and always, but if Yiquan pratictioneers also fought instead of just claiming how powerfull their art is the MA world could have some material to build martial respect.
Clear demo of the footwork involved when on the periphery of the circle. Also nice to see the difference in quality between zthe student (solid footwork) and the master (fluid footwork) while doing the same exercise.
In wonder when the first western boxers will pick up on this.
Yiquan and western boxing should make for a lot of nasty surprises in the ring.
