the technology that you are talking about was created 10 years ago and it has sounds and not transparent, so the human race must be really stupid to not realize that it was there the whole time XD
-
lol thought this was real and asked my friends but they just laughed in my face and wnt stop making fun of me for it
-
I was really excited until someone said it`s all mirrors using a trick technique that`s centuries old. :(
-
There is another device capable of creating holograms, and its called a duel disk
-
@pierrevivien And?
-
that iPhone is made of carton -__-"
-
if a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away could make holograms why cant we!?
-
this is obviously fake and some mirror trick like everyone else is saying. I wasted my time here
-
lol, such old technology. when did they have this in public display. like 30 years ago? if ur amused by this, check out the Hatsune Miku Hologram concert. lol

@Pharmalogconsulting Almost all correct except it was first used in theatrical performances. Look up Peppers ghost effect.
Look at the last few seconds from 25' onwards and you will see the screens at the top of the display booth, the image is a reflection on the glass of the pyramid. No magic here, this technique is a couple of centuries old, originally used in carnival side shows and by magicians, a classic case of "It's all done with mirrors" - well in this case that is exactly how its done.

@Pharmalogconsulting Pretty much. Search "HoloAD" for more (and better) info/footage.

the iPhone is not even real - just look at the reflections at 0:18

@TheMcShay Yep. As I mentioned, it was just there for effect.

This has to be an optical illusion. To my knowledge there has been no such device that is capable of producing an image in thin air at a specific size. They are probably working on the tech but I am sure it isn't possible yet. For now, we will have to project images on walls or other surfaces. It is feasible to work on a device that might project an image on air since air is a fluid. This would be a huge tech breakthrough and not some dinky little booth at a CES.

Yep, it is definitely an optical illusion. Right around 0:26 you can see some of the mirror systems on the gigantic top portion. That being said, it still looked quite impressive, as bulky and impractical as this version was.
