I am a conservative lawyer who is the owner of a legally registered machine gun. True, the Heller decision makes a circular argument concerning the protection (or lack thereof) afford to machine guns. It is my hope that Scalia et al can get over the media hysteria concerning these weapons and allow Americans what the Swiss had for decades without disaster. The right to own true militia weapons in the home.

Well where was there any emphasis to BEAR ARMS in Heller? Another time? Perhaps, another client? Fer sure. Lawyers never do the right thing on their own dime. It's all for profit or publicity. So very wonderful, willing to fight for our rights one paying customer at a time. Rights are something you have, not something you're forced to pay someone else through the ass for or go without.

Although the federal decision was a step in the right direction, it didn't really help the state of Georgia too much. John's opinion on using your handgun for brass knuckles, was a good one, but it was a new Kimber and I did not want to scratch it. Thanks/GCO/Thanks Doug

Actually, two of these guys are Libertarian, not conservative, hero. They aren't forcing ANYTHING on you. They are simply fighting your forcing your beliefs upon us.  The 2A is pretty clear to anyone with any grasp of the English language.
