@bobduvar Considering the intimacy between Nicholas & Alexandra, I don't think anyone would suggest he was a terrible lover. Selective - yes, private - yes, terrible - no.
Agree, the last Czar comes across as man's man as well as that all so elusive quality, a gentleman.
The family resemblance did pass through the generations. Today, Prince Michael of Kent looks remarkably like both George V & Nicholas II. Lord Frederick Windsor, his son, looks like them, too. Handsome men all.
Nicholas II was much much more beautiful than his cousin.
Nicholas eyes were amazing, attractive. The way he was looking at was more enthralling. he had a beautiful face, he looked much more viril, more masculine.
He might has been a terrible lover.
His slavonic roots do not lie : he was a man !!!!
absolutely not true that victoria was the czar's grandmother. he was related to king george through his mother. the czar and the king's mothers were sisters [both danish]
alexandra was victoria's favorite granddaughter. in fact, without their beards they did not look at all alike.
@TheQueenl92 Yes, it's the only thing that makes both mens' strong resemblance to Edward VII make sense. Edward VII was well known in his own time for carousing sexually--both before and during his marriage. Edward VII--when Prince of Wales spent several years carousing in Paris. Nicholas and George V are only about 3 years apart in age, so its quite possible Edward VII had sexual relations with his wife-to-be's sister when he travelled to Denmark to check out the proposed bride.
@TheQueenl92 haha jokes???? Russia is richer and more powerful now than britain even without a king
britain is weak and has now only a economy based on wallstreet and inflation

@MsTruNorth your theory makes sense, but not quite, all the royal family were very strict about being Sexually "Curouser"
