@flaxonx3 Obviously you're not a fan then. He didn't dupe anyone. Many loved this show and really like Noel. As shown by the phenomenal success of Deal or No Deal too in the modern era, the success of which is owed largely to Noel's skill in making what is a simple and repetitive format into something worth watching. I'd take Noel's House Party over X-Factor/Strictly any day. Without House Party, there would certainly be no 'Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway' either.

They should put Noals HP on GOLD or Watch or somthing make a change to endless repeats Of Fools and Horses.
Another thought, I always suspected the pranks on Noal where scripted and done with his prior knowledge. I remember watching on the news during NHP's heyday that a channel 4 show did a Gotcha style prank on Noal and he got very anry and refused to let it go on air.

A truly dark age in British TV history. What kind of a post-Thatcher wool over the eyes generation watched this garbage. My license fee paid for it. Noel Edmonds!!! As if some BBC exec in the early 70s said we have to have our own Kenny Everett & they got some trainee executive, told him to grow a beard and attempt to mimic Kenny. This humourless man then went on to dupe multitudes of middle Englanders that he was a right laugh, the rest of us saw that same would be minor executive.

No it's not - it was a good few episodes before the end, so Noel would be not be expecting it at all! When he says "is it really the end of the series" he's joking as that would be the norm...
