I'm saying that with British shows EVERYWHERE (and, yes, I am aware of UKTV), the possibility of the odd tom, dick or harry not being able to list British shows is tiny. @thefartydoctor 1. Our paid-tv "Foxtel" actually has a dedicated channel, "UKTV" that shows nothing but UK produced shows. 2. Our free-to-air shows quite a few UK tv shows including soaps, dramas, comedy and all else. 3. Australian TV has been airing UK shows since the 70s (at least) with shows like Benny Hill and Are You Being Served. 4. UK television is not the be-all and end-all of entertainment, like all countries, it has good and bad shows. You're entitled to your opinion as am I.

I doubt my point was to big up our economy or whatever and I'd rather not start another debate about whose programmes are better or worse but tbh British comedy goes down well in Australia and Australian comedy is rarely understood here (I like Angry Boys<3). I'm saying that if you don't know at least a handful of British shows then your channels must be pretty shit.

Yes of course, because our economy is strong and there are tens of thousands of people in the UK lining up to emigrate here, whereas the UK is in recession and overrun with illegal immigrants. But of course none of that matters, because we don't know what your television shows are. o_0
