This is a video of my Natal Rat feeder project. Just wanted to show everyone a different way of doing things from the traditional rat rack systems. It's a little more involving and doesnt pump out as many rats but it is good for a small collection of snakes like mine.

  • how could you ever feed them to snakes!! they're so cute!

  • haha I know, they just look at me with those puppy dog eyes every time i walk by.

  • man urs use the silent spinner??? mine just crap in it, i had to put in the wire wheels...

  • Update on the rats. they no longer run, just sit in the spinner and crap in it. I think this is because there are too many in there now and they like to pile together for heat.

  • Cool soft hair rats. I heard they're goo to breed since they dont smell bad

  • well, everyone's shit stinks so dont get the impression they smell like roses haha. but yes compared to the regular rats ive brought home from the pets store, they definately have a less toxic smell.

  • they so god damn cute for feeders! where did you get them?

  • how loud do they get?

  • i love asfs...take forever to grow but they breed like pure champs

  • hey, cool video, how big do they get and how bad do they smell?

    cheers

  • one big happy family.. of food.

    bahahaha

  • dude you should've taken them out all ready they're already weand aren't they

  • did you make the water holder/strap, ive been looking for something like that and cant find one, my asf's are also in a glass tank and would much prefer to use a water bottle.

  • Thanks for the timeline on the breeding. I have a female yellowbelly that only eats Afican Soft Hair rats and they tend to be pricier Ghent normal rats and at times hard to come by. So looks like I'll have to breed them to keep her eating. Good luck on your future projects.

  • one big look a like family!

  • therealso called african soft fured rats
