Could you do this on a turned edge as well with good effect?

There is a couple ways I am looking at your question so if you mean to use this tool to smooth a turned edge then yes you will use it just like it is shown above in the video. If you want to use the tool to actually turn the edge up or down, then you will need to find a way to either work the part over something like the edge of a table, T-stake, dolly, etc. or you will want to clamp something to the part to work the edge over. Unless you have three hands it is hard to hold onto it all.

@tinmantech how do u make a fine serrated edge,with hand tools?

@5tonyvvvv It's difficult to answer your question clearly since I don't know what materials you want to work with or what the serrated edge needs to do... so it really depends on your metal thickness and hardness. If your metal is soft and thin, you can use heavy scissors (Michaels stores have a neat selection of fancy-edge scissors). For heavier metals you will have to first mark and then file or sand in your pattern. - tinman
