Tanya Walters is redefining the term mentor. As a Los Angeles school bus driver, she has the opportunity to touch the lives of children every day. But when she started to notice that kids were struggling in her community, she asked God to use her to make a difference.
Shortly after graduating from Biola's BOLD degree completion program in 2005, Tanya founded Godparents Youth Organization. Now, she doesn't just take her busload of kids to school...but also on special trips across the country, teaching them about life outside of their community. As they soak up new knowledge and experiences across America, the students also give back wherever they go -- helping other youths discover the power of hope, strength, and self-motivation.
Tanya isn't just bringing kids to the classroom anymore -- she is devoted to steering them towards hope and a brighter future as she connects them to the world around them.

Tanya Walter's story is very inspiring, one that touches others (like me) and makes you want to do something good for others as well, especially kids that need much guidance.
