I had done this one a few years ago in standard tuning, but now that I have a raised-B tuned guitar I wanted to redo it. This is the way Dave plays it and is more accurate than my previous version

  • if you ever think about doing another tutorial anytime soon, DO THIS ONE! you play it to near perfection. (sorry for so many requests)

  • @vballfreakgbn1 if I did it, I would probably have to teach the standard tuning way since i'm guessing most people don't have spare guitars tuned to raised B. I'll put it on the list though

  • what kind of guitar is that? did you just buy different strings to get that tuning or is it a new guitar entirely?

  • @medrzyck this is my old Ibanez. I tuned it up to raised-B when I got my new guitar. To tune to raised-B, you need a whole new set of strings. Read dancheatham's post to learn how to tune it this way

  • @medrzyck what gauge are those strings?

  • @medrzyck i'm not sure, it's just a normal set of strings but they are in different positions. I think they are daddario exp 12's or something

  • Usually I only watch vids like this to make fun of the people for butchering a song......but this is good stuff mang...

  • if only the violin was in this..

  • Awesome cover.

  • what string do you use for B tuning, i broke mine XD so tell me what string and all the notes tuning please =)

  • @GrizzlyWilburWash Thanks for the tip!

  • Holy cow dude, that's awesome! It takes guts to pull off a song like that! Very well done!

  • huge help man, thanks, great playing.

  • you look mad gay when you sing

  • First of all, awesome cover. It's been said before, but this is near the most perfect cover of this song - if not the best. I just recently discovered how to tune to raised B. It's my favorite way to play now. For those of you who don't know how to do it, buy a whole new set of strings and an extra high E string (they ususally sell extras where you buy strings). Throw away or save the low E as you will not need it. When you string it, it should be ADGBEE... Then tune up a whole step (BEADF#F#)

  • what tab did you use for this?
