i dont ever have bad hit detection, it just always works well

Ping doesn't factor into this all the time. Bullet registration is a constant issue in BFBC2 and many bullshit kills or enemy kills occur because of it.

Ping has nothing to do with it. If it was lag, the hit markers would only be delayed. Here they dont show up at all.

Ping wasn't an issue in this case, latency was low. In fact this was a local server, not more than 10 miles away from my home.
Arguably, this isn't the best example of hit registration in BC2. I rarely record games, and this just happened to be one small example that I caught with FRAPS.
I played the BF3 pre-alpha demo; hit registration felt solid! Alpha reports confirm that BF3's hit registration even on high-latency servers above 200ms looks good. I'm confident it won't be as bad as BC2.
