This was a great ruling.I get so annoyed by the fundamentalists always trying to inject their morality into everything. What difference does it make if two gay people get married? None. And all the arguments they have come up with are not supported by any evidence what-so-ever,in fact its always just the opposite. The long era of "there should be a law against this cause my religion says so" will hopefully mostly be over soon.

while i agree that restricting same sex marriage is unjust and a restriction of liberties, i have to point out that no where in the constitution does the phrase "pursuit of happiness" appear. he is confusing it with the declaration of independence

Marriage, from a legal point of view, is just an excuse for the government to intervene in the relationship between two people. Homosexuals are allowed to do most anything anyone else does. If I were one of them, I'd be totally opposed to inviting the government into my relationships. Lawyers hoping to cash in on homosexual divorce probably invented same-sex marriage!

I am wondering, the same sex marriage, how a man put his sex organ to another man and how a woman sex organ to F*** another woman? How they produce children after married, if they adopt one, how they are going to explain to their children coz parents always are role model 4 children. The next generation will be more same sex marriage?

So why don't we go back to "traditional" American values? I mean, was it really that bad when there were separate drinking fountains for "colored", black and whites couldn't marry, the woman's place was in the home? Don't we ALL long for those days? Why stop there? Why not go back to the time when you were burned at the state if you didn't belong to the right religion? Now THOSE are real family values, right?

The U.S. is further removed from Christian law & tradition now than at any time since its founding. Adore/abhor: The facts of this world aren't in the filthy clutches of atheistic revisers of history. I prefer to read accounts of great events written at the time or soon thereafter. I just finished Blackford's: "Letters from Lee's Army". I maintain a healthful distrust for those in academia who are tenured & locked in. Nature corrects herself as the world's in constant flux.
