More than 400 anti-Republican protestors arrested in St. Paul, MN on day four of the Republican National Convention. CBS Mobile's Ramy Inocencio and Sarah Mirza report. September 4, 2008.
the twin cities were the absolute worst choice for the RNC i can imagine. aside from maybe San Francisco, NYC, and Boston, MPLS/St. Paul is one of the bluest metropolitan areas in the country, and where dissidents are actually organized and active.
No, actually they were elected in the end of 2006 and took office in 2007. Just like Obama will be elected president in 2008 but won't take office till 2009.
A real easy way to verify this is to do a search on the 109th or 110th congress. The 109th Ended on January 3, 2007 & the 110th started the next day.
this is partially inaccurate. several of those clips were taken from isolated events on different days, even though the spoken narrative seems to detail the last day. thus there is a disconnect between what is shown and what is told.
The Bush/Cheney administration trashed the Bill of Rights that used to protect everyone from illegal police action. However, we are no longer a democracy. We are a military/industrial dictatorship run by the wealthy elite. This dictatorship now uses private security, the military, and the police to control citizens who speak out against them. We are no longer a democratic and free country, as this video clearly shows. Anyone who considers these political protestors "dangerous" is a pussy.
