Leslie RS-5T-FX Run By

Here's a run by video clip of my (R)S-5T-FX configured all bells forward as indicated by the tag. However, when this horn was removed from service on CSX, she wore a 31/44 reversal and I believe she very likely wore a 44/55 reversal during her Seaboard years.

The tag reads S-5T-FX, but the horn is fitted with a complete set of early "Pat. Applied For" RS heads that appeared to be original to the horn. My thought is that it was an early experimental RS horn.

That is an excellent vid of a killer Leslie. Just to ask, did you video this downwind of where the start of your run was (I think so)? It was really nice to hear the horn getting carried on the wind, it really shows how powerful a Leslie (especially a RS5T) can be. Thanks for sharing!

I think you're right about being downwind at the beginning, but I don't remember for sure. I do know that the horn was a little more than a mile and a half away at the beginning of the run by.

RS-5T is a beast, i work down in Tampa where they are made....Crazy to hear them tested

holy crap, did you really need that large of a compressor to supply the air needed, or just not have an airtank available?
