Ugly Betty

Why is it ugly betty? I thought she was relatively good looking. Sorry, I'm really not being naive, could someone explain it to me? =x

well she is good looking...but i think they chose that coz compared to the people at Mode..she's different! They're all well-dressed,very stylish..and she's the only one normal,different..and for some she's ugly

@polarspirit well the spanish version was called "betty la fea" - ugly betty. i mean "ugly" isn't the first word i'd use to describe her at all but its what her coworkers would use when they first met her cuz all they know is fashion. give her a trip to the salon & some decent clothes she could be quite pretty :o)

omg i'm addicted to ugly bettey, cant remember the last time i missed an episode tbh. its on tonight LOL

since you always watch it. Do you agree all of a sudden the latest Ugly betty shows had the cast kick up their accent harder. Meaning making them speak with a really hard accent.

Why is everyone having a fit over the original show? Okey the original may be better but Ugly Betty is hella funny and so much more is going on with the storyline. Im sure everyone watching is enjoying it alot too.

OMG!!! what is that?...what they did with betty la fea!!!!....if you guys have the chance of watch Betty la fea the Colombian version witch is the original...you will see that Betty is no a stupid girl is actually a very smart person and no one likes her just because she is ugly...good luck if you wanna watch it!!
