Here's a fantastic clip of Stanley Jordan playing Eleanor Rigby live on the Jools Holland show. It's out of sync until it can be fixed but is still a must see.
he is very, very talented. way better than i will ever be. THAT BEING SAID, he did kinda ruin the song. he just jammed out for the majority of the song (which is awesome, im not gonna lie) and then threw in the familiar eleanor rigby part every once in a while. he should just make his own song with the same jam and take out the eleanor rigby parts. the beatles songs were great as they were. adding to them will only make them worse.
Thank you for uploading. I have been followng Stanley Jordan for years and would love to see him live if I ever get the chance. I have some of his albums and I see he just came out with a new one "State of Nature" - Stanley sounds great as always. Stanley is one of those artists that you must either watch on tv/you tube or see live to truly appreciate. He's a treasure.
@viniciuslennon I'm not saying he is not a good guitarrist (or anything like that), i'm just saying if he put another name in this song would be a kind of hard for someone to call it a copy.
@missurunha1 Ok, the fact that it is hard to recognize is not a valid argument, it is a jazz re-interpretation of the song, you can't expect it to be the same thing then the original version, it wouldn't make sense to just copy it, it does sound like the song, maybe the video quality doesn't help, but I think if you are calling it a "fail", then I think you are crossing the line a little bit in this situation, I'm sorry, but if you don't wanna see, I won't try to show it to you...
@missurunha1 You are not Eleanor Rigby! HAHAHAHAHAHA, yes man, this is Eleanor Rigby, it is just a little bit confuse if one can't recognize the melody through the notes he is playing, but if you pay attention, you can find it, maybe, you can ask someone around you that found the melody to help you find it, a friend of mine also couldn't recognize, I had to sing with the guitar so he could recognize it.
I seem to remember this from the tube many years ago. He also did Led Zeppelin's Black dog on the program. Has anyone found that uploaded anywhere?

@viniciuslennon If it's hard to recognize, this is not eleanor rigby, it's a song he made based on eleanor rigby.
I notice he tried to play it, but it's a kind of fail 'cause this doesn't sound like E.R. at all.
