This is our flipable plateholder, here shown by our scandinavian partner.

IceFlip is a registration plate holder which has two main functions:

1, Ability to flip down the license plate 45 or 90 degrees.
2, Heating of the registration plate using the built-in heating coils.

Thanks to the heat elements and the ability to "flip" the license plate, you can easily remove ice, snow and other crap that could otherwise easily get stuck in and obscure the license plate. IceFlip is very discreet and slim in size, making it look no different than any other plate holder at any time. The plate holder is only 8 mm thick (12 mm at the attachment).

It is very solidly built and has a powerful motor (40Amp x 12Volt = 480 Watt) that is capable of flipping the plate even at speeds above 250km/h (155 miles/h). If one place the IceFlip flat on a table, it is capable of lifting around 12 kg.

Installation is very simple: Screw it on the car bumper and connect the cables to the car´s battery. Then you can easily maneuver the IceFlip via a 2-way wireless remote. The remote control system has a unique dual-way communication with IceFlip, meaning that the hand unit always gives you feedback as the IceFlip is sending back its status to the hand unit. The Hand unit vibrates during the IceFlip's movement to confirm that the IceFlip actually flips down when you pressing the button. The hand unit also shows the IceFlip's status on a LCD display.

  • Snow plow out of license plate? 45 to 90 degree angles hmmm... just mite work. What's the point of this really?

  • @videoslovetimmy

The IceFlip is made as a plate defroster. But some might use it illegally and flip the plate in front of a speeding camera or toll camera. The 45 degrees would make the plate flip more discrete and not so conspicuous. This sample only flips 35 degrees but the production IceFlip will flip out the whole 45 degrees.

  • @320iguy

Which "4 other products" "below $100USD" are legal then, according to you?

According to our US sources, the device it self is legal but the misuse of it is not.
