At Nashville's Station Inn on December 7, 2011, during a tour supporting the release of Noam Pikelny's album, Beat the Devil and Carry a Rail, some local luminaries came on stage to jam. One of the highlights was Tim O'Brien singing, in honor of the 100th year anniversary of Bill Monroe's birth, the song, "I'm Blue, I'm Lonesome too." Performing on this song were: Noam Pikelny, banjo; Chris Eldridge, guitar; Gabe Witcher, fiddle; Tim O'Brien, vocals, mandolin; Aoife O'Donovan vocals; Mark Schatz, bass; Jesse Cob, mandolin; Luke Bulla, fiddle.
Is it excessive to consider my life a failure since I wasn't at this show?
