@LucianBelmau thats because, of two things.making impressive sounds with just 4 tones at the same time, must lead into creativity.second the japanese people love progressive rock and metal ! third they love anything with the word fantasy inside of it ! adrian belew of the band called king crimson still was a big icon in japan decades after prog rock took place,same goes around with classic metal today..greetz

@LucianBelmau yeah,but if we take the glasses we will figure out that the cheap allaround keaboard chip that the n64 had, was a pile of shit compaired to the great synth sounds that the supernintendo had ,its just like the prog discussion about its eras,let me say the supern sound chip is the postmodern melotron,the n64 is the 80ties.nes and c64 is the organ.same comes up to the compositions,from ca.85 to 94 prog was the main influence in roleplaying g.a adventure and action games!

It's impressive how videogames music in the first half of the 90s (up to '96-'97) was inspired by 70s prog, exspecially genesis. For instance, the intro - wonderful - reminds me of Starfox 64...
