So let's take a look at Sybase iAnywhere technology in action. It's a new BMW five series and it's like no other BMW youve seen before. I'm going to show you some new features of the BMW that utilize Sybase iAnywheres Blue Tooth SBKs. Today, for this technology demonstration, Ive got my car keys and Ive got my Bluetooth enabled palm one trio. And this is where the demonstration begins. Because, although Ive got these in my hand, I've no need to touch them. Everything is wireless. Wirelessly, I have already been authorized to use the car and the doors are already open. So let's get inside and Ill show you how the trio talks to the car.
Notice the selections here on the main display look very much like what you'd expect to see on a smartphone. These menu selections are all being driven off of the live state of my trio smartphone. For example, this phone directory that you're looking at corresponds to the Favorites folder on my trio. If I just want to call somebody, I scroll down the phonebook, I press the button and view the list of my favorites. And, let's see if we can give Kelly a call.
Kelly speaking. Hey Kelly, this is Brian. How are you doing? Hi, Brian. I am doing well, thank you. Great. Hey, I am calling from a car thats using Sybase iAnywhere Blue Tooth Software. How does it sound? Great. It sounds so clear. OK, thanks a lot. Bye Brian. Bye. And then I press this button to end the call.
The neat thing about this car is that you can actually use voice dialing to enable the same thing that happened. So, as an example, press this button. Redial Kelly. Dialing number. And, she will be dialed again. Again, this is all synchronized automatically. So, if you change things on your trio, it'll be reflected right away on your car console. You can try this technology for yourself in new cars from BMW and Audi, using any Blue Tooth enabled phone.
