@happydragon5077 You're right. Ip Man's Wing Chun has 3 forms and there are 2 forms and 1 form style, like Lim Po (usually given as 1st form in Bei Shaolin and others).
@albierte A few major mistakes in your comment. This style does not have the best techniques from ALL the other Shaolin styles. This style is founded on Fut Gar, Lee Gar and Choy Gar. There're literally hundreds of other styles in China.
And it is not the shortest style to learn. When my master was studying CLF there were already 120 forms!! He knew 70 and said NOBODY knows ALL of them. The forms range from 35 to 200+ moves. Now there're probably more forms as new masters add to it.
@albierte i disagree that hopping is correct in clf. it surely depends on the lineage, but most stance transitions are supposed to be shuffling rather than hopping. peace
It's called The Kung Fu Snap. He hops and changes his stances because Choy Li Fut is a very aggressive style. Remember, this style
is a composition of the best techniques from all the other Shaolin Styles. It has a little bit of everything. It's also the shortest style to learn. You can probably learn the entire style in 5 years. Mastering it is another story.
He's very impressive. but notice he adjusts into stances by hoping into it rather than shift....was he running out of space or was it suppose to be done that way?
what are those dvds shown at the end of this clip and where can i buy them?
