@aswchris Well, thre's the one through lane, and the other lane merging from the first exit in Wheeling before the tunnel, making it 2 through lanes after the tunnel.

Love that route, it is on my list of things to film next time I'm up that way. Ouch that direct sunlight wreaked havoc with your focus near the end :P Excellent job all the way!

I always thought I-68 through Cumberland, MD's downtown was weird(due to the truck prohibition and curvaceous route), but whoa at 2:52 and after the Fort Henry Bridge! Interesting rarity to see a brief portion of an interstate with one lane in a direction, and designed to fit an entrance and exit ramp right before the start of that tunnel. (plus possibly a historic brick building next to it) Very unique, and it is definitely funny to think I-470 isn't the mainline I-70.

the wife and I drive to St. Clairsville 3 or 4 times a year go to the mall been a thing since 1993

Nice video. I live in St. Clairsville, so I'm on 70 all the time haha. I never got the point of having I-470 til I figured out it was for when the tunnels were closed and so theres not so much traffic on 70, even though, there is hardly any traffic in Wheeling.

Nice video. I love seeing this part of country. It seems pretty sad though, because I've heard that Wheeling was one of the hardest-hit areas from the industry leaving.
