@Riddickmofo In many movies two characters might talk about their long-time friendship and then have a flashback of them when they were younger. In this scene one character states to the other "We go back a long way." which is followed by an immediate flashback of the encounter they just had, instead of the audiences expectation of a flashback from when they were far younger.

I believe the joke is, -As one gets older, one minds start to falter. Perhaps i should say, you start to forget things. So the joke is that Leslies memory in this particular film only spans a few seconds.

Can someone explain this scene for me?

I own this movie and i have been watching it since i was about 10, and everytime i saw this scene i laughed because I thought that Leslie was thinking back to years ago when they first met, the exact same way as they met now.

But now when I see this i am wondering if the joke is that they have never met before and they just met 2 sec ago, and frank is going back to those seconds xD.

Both jokes are funny, I just wanna know which one is the intended one xD.
