just a little work-around to maintain your storyline timing if you "re-time" a clip ... might not be the best way ... maybe you have a better way ... if so, let me know!

  • thanks mate! ... yeah i know ... i really want FCPX to be a awesome app but sometimes it makes me a bit sad that this will not be the case at least for a year or so ... apple has to work on that ... even though it never will be a FCP7'ish app ... which can turn out good on the other hand ;) (if you know what i mean...)

  • or you could turn the clip into a Compound Clip, then re-time from within. It should keep the same timings in the main timeline.

  • great tip! as much as i want to get going in FCPX im getting more and more tired of having to work against FCPX's inherent tendancies to "not" work like FCP7...haha! oh soooooo frustrating because i really like some of the stuff in X. good work around though!
