  • @DJK290 Look up the Meinl Trejon. I'm after the same as you, thats what i found

  • I need a cajon that will give me a simple bass/snare/hat capabilities. I am looking for one to fill in as a drum kit when we do acoustic songs. Drums are just far too loud. But there seem to be lots of types of Cajons. Help?

  • @CajonCraig Hey man, I had the same problem and i tried the thing with kitchen roll, it worked pretty good but it left it with a pretty damp sound and almost without any snaring, do you have any more tips of what to do? Peace!

  • Glad to help,Send me a direct e-mail if you need anymore help?

  • hey thanks! I'll have to give it a try. I was playing with it today actually and it doesnt sound too bad anymore...it could have been that I was/still am kinda new to the cajon and was getting used to it? who knows. Thanks a lot for the help!

  • You can buy this model between £72 & £100 United Kingdom Money,The cheapest is Thomann in Germany,You will find their website putting Thomann in a search,I cant put a link as youtube blocks your comment if a web address is included!

  • Hi There,Just do what SLOWBURN420 says above or put some folder bits of kitchen roll between the strings & the back of the front plate,I put 2 bits at top & 2 bits at bottom & it made my practice cajon sound great & it took away any "After Buzz"!

My practice cajon is a Meinl Headliner & my gigging cajon is a Meinl Snare with drum snare inside instead of strings,It's Superb!

    Hope This Helps?

  • just put a little bit of duck tape on the strings, that will eliminate the rattle... just mess with it . you can get a very decent sound

  • How much is this?

  • most meinl cajons are just bad. the quallity is poor the price is to high. i checked a few and most of them had a poor quality. i prefer schlagwerk, pepote or duende. the price is about the same and the quality is much better. and for sure the sound too.
