  • OldTimeMusic-- who are you?? :0)

  • Geez ....tough question!

Fell into oldtime fiddle music in the 1970's and have been playing OTM and documenting what I can of the original artists since.

The internet has come a long way since then and the presence of youtube certainly has facilitated greatly this process.

As far as I know, this is the only video that the Callahan Brothers were in, but they did work with Jimmy Wakely as well as others into the 1950's.

  • Used to perform with Bill and Joe over TV station KRCG in Jefferson City, Mo. back in the 50's. They were with Wayne Rainey who was the MC. Bill, I think it was, had a cartoon show called The Sheriff's Show. The brothers used to make personal appearances with Rainey and Bill would do the comedy. Sure enjoyed working with those guys.

  • Muito bom!!

  • @jij828 now i know where u live >:D JK X3 thats pretty cool :3

  • Rusty McDonald and Spud Goodall are the guitarists. Jerry Wolfe is the fiddler.

  • Springtime in Texas was Jimmy Wakely's first starring feature. He co-starred with Dennis Moore (who later was charged with assault on Wakely while intoxicated) and Lee "Lasses" White, the old codger with the beard.

thanks for the video! that will be great to see!

  • Lol-sorry, just wondering if you were related or if you were just into the music. I'm pretty sure this is the only movie too or we would have known about it. "We"as in the Callahans-Homer is my great-grandpa as I commented on one of the other videos. We grew up close to his home and I remember him well.he died when I was a jr. in highschool. He was a character for sure! Not only was he a musician but he was a photographer for some time-runs in the family! I enjoy the same!
