Sedona, AZ

Harold and I flew around the Southwest in a Tecnam Sierra. This was our flight into Sedona, AZ (KSEZ) from San Diego Montgomery Field (KMYF). Stunning scenery and a great experience landing on "USS Sedona"!

Nice short final and touchdow =) My only suggestion is that you avoid straight-in approaches in the future. Standard downwind-entry patterns are much more common, predictable, expected, and therefore safe. Just want to look out for your safety.

Thanks! Point well taken. I was monitoring the CTAF for traffic and didn't hear any, which is why I did what I did.

Hmm lets see...its when youre on final close to the runway...what I mean was it looked quite turbulent for most of your final approach.

If I may, just because you don't hear traffic on the CTAF doesn't mean traffic isn't there. You aren't required to announce yourself on CTAF, you're just required to see and avoid other aircraft. There could very well be lots of aircraft in the (rectangular) pattern who aren't announcing their intentions, so flying straight-in could be disastrous. Again, just trying to be of help =)

Nice! I flew around that area alot a few years ago (sedona) when I was at ERAU-Prescott...beautiful area
