For me it didn't work that "/sbin/dhclient ne2" ; i had to write it without the "ne2" as the interface
What is your opinion about gnome on NetBSD ? Does it make a server run slower ? If affirmative, what desktop manager would you suggest to use? (It's quite a shock for me to use netbsd command line only)
the 'ne2' part is the name of the network card, if you have a different network card (most likely, as the ne2 was emulated by qemu), then you'll need to replace it with that interface name. If you do not specify an interface name, it will try all interfaces, and this is not always what you are looking for
Installing X and a gui will always make the server slower, if it is ment to be a server, you only need SSH to manage it, but if you want a gui, use whatever one you want. It really depends what type of hardware you have how much it will effect your systems speed. A good small/light gui is xfce or fluxbox
there is a version with more of the screen. when the video was originally posted, youtube did not provide 'high quality' or 'hd', so the text in the video was to blurry, so i reposted it cropped to give more detail
Thanks a lot man !
