One of my all time favorite videos along with H-Street Next Generation and SC Big Pants Small Wheels. Next Generation specifically shows in the video how much fun they were having. 92-93 was a pretty amazing time and I'm glad to have been a part of it. I started skating around '87-'88 and at almost 34 y/o I'm still going. No skinny jeans, Dickies and Ben Davis, and 56mm wheels...

I miss the small wheels....seriously. I had some Santa Cruz Pea Shooters 44mm on a New Deal John Montesi and Indy's..I loved those wheels. Still have them although they are yellowed now. Baggy shorts are STILL the shit! You won't catch me wearing tight ass pants ever!

@pointblank1976 I stopped skating in '01 after 16 wonderful years. Loved just cruising thru downtown, hitting one obstacle after the other, non-stop. We'd stop and session certain spots but just cruising was the best. I see today's generation and they are so mechanical how they skate. Very few that I enjoy watching. Maybe the magic of skateboarding died after the 90s.

@MyWendal ...agreed bro, this new generation is completely oblivious to skate history ...and thats why they suffer from a style or an individualistic standpoint. Everyone is so monolithic today, everyone dresses the same way, all skate the same spots, and don't study the legends.

Street skating is dead, cause no one, actually skates the entire city without using a car to get to a spot.

Skaters in the the 70's, 80's and early 90's had a style component thanks to the influence surfing had on us,

@VampKip I dont follow the new generation of skaters too closely but from what I've seen there arnt too many young guns with real good style. And I dont mean just the clothing, I mean how they skate. Guys from the 90s like Reese Forbes, Salman Agah, Gonz, Jason Lee, Gino Iannucci, they had awesome style in their skateing and I dont see a lot of that these days. The tricks have gottin' more tech but the style suffers and to me skating's all about doing something that looks and feels good.

@MyWendal I'm 16 and praying for the 90's to come back. I hate skinny jeans. I'm always buying kikwears when I can (pretty much jncos but without the retarded graphics) or any other pants that have at least 26 inch leg openings lol.

Have you noticed that skating these days isn't rebellious or aggressive at all? Where'd the balls in skateboarding go!? Oh yeah, they left when skinny jeans became popular

@VampKip I was glad to see the huge clown clothing go away amoung skaters but the skinny jeans are just fuckin' gay and goofy lookin'. Lookin' like frog legs.
