  • @extremefarts I said it was the most reliable car I have ever owned, and it is! I have owned all sorts including Toyota's, Peugeot's, mini's and a 1974 HQ Holden in 1978 when it was 4 yrs old [78,000 KM] and it fell to bits on me! The XJ6 series3 is very reliable they used the XK Engine for 48 years because it was bloody reliable, since last post she has had an engine fan and a rear brake caliper done all else is 25 years and 215,000 original read and learn and don't question my integrity.

  • extremefarts, You Sir are talking rubbish , I too owned a Holden that was a shocker I believe a Jaguar would infact be more reliable!

  • jiagwarrrrr :p

  • Foul wheels, where'd they come from???

  • @MrMiketheawsome tables in a car? Is that some kind of joke. First of all I've been in one, they're useless because they're too far from the back seat, don't have cup holders, the wood veneer cracks and flakes, and they're small as hell.

Second the Jaguar I was in had: airbags, cruise control, auto transmission, 6 cd changer in the trunk (useless), ash trays in the back, and a tape player.

I guess the camry doesn't have the last 3 items, which are useless anyways.

  • extremefarts=Who are you to say his car is not the most reliable car he has owned? Were you with him when his other cars inc the Holden "didn't" break down? And why make dumb statements like "drive on outsidelane"? You sound like you got a serious problem=what do you drive? a Pick up? or a ricebox?

  • Here are 2009 prices for top of the range Jaguaras djc was talking about his car being top of the range in 1985 see below

    2009 Jaguar XJR X350

    $229,500*

    Price Guide

    2009 Jaguar XJR X350 * 4 door Sedan * 12.3L / 100km * 5 speed, Automatic * 8 cylinder, 4.2 litre engine

  • wumpervogt82, Four models were offered initially in Australia; a 3.5-litre XJ8, 4.2-litre XJ8, supercharged XJR and a 'Super V8'. In May 2004 Jaguar reintroduced its iconic XJ6 nameplate by adding a 3-litre six cylinder powered XJ to the lineup. Prices at launch range from $149,900 (3.0) to $229,000 for the luxurious Super V8.

  • @djc0248 Where did you get those prices? Brand new Jaguars run between $52000 and $113000 depending on the model and trim. Don't get me wrong. I agree that beside some problems with electrical work, Jaguars are very reliable cars. I haven't had any engine problems with either of the Jaguars that I own. Your pricing just seemed a little off, that's all.

  • @djc0248 Who cares, and keep out of the outside lane, that's for people who know how to drive.

  • @extremefarts I worked in the transport Industry and as a courier I have driven Sigma's, Nissan's, Toyota's, Holden's, Ford's, Peugeot's, Mini's, non of them compare to Jaguar, even the top range Ford's and Holden's, just open the door on one to see the quality is rubbish compared to the drive and build quality of Jaguar's, that's why a new one is $160,000 to $300,000 so "Fart" off.
