@iQuadriPod He means the highest point that you can, not the actual highest point, in that case the highest point was probably 4 feet out of his jumping ability. It's the same as in football, you aren't going to catch a hail mary at it's "highest point". It's the highest point you can possibly.

You're doing it wrong.

Thanks for the instruction and demonstration. It is our responsibility as players to help those who are new to the sport in anyway we can. I am sure this will bring another aspect of the game to a beginner.
-
@iQuadriPod The highest point was over twice his height. He probably means catch it as soon as possible.

Anyone else notace his stutter steps? if you have a defender on you you cant slow down to catch it, they will get infront of you and catch it -.-
-
@ercshur No, you're wrong. If you have a defender coming after the frisbee and you need to get it as quickly as possible you will have an extended catching reach if you catch the way he shows in the video. Don't pancake unless you're completely open without a defender closing in... And even then it takes the longest time to go from the pancake catch to a throw so you might want to catch it another way so you can throw it before you become defended.

Its not a frisbee. Its a disc.

XD He's my social studies teacher, and the way he's talking about this sounds like how he would teach one of our lessons lol
wow this cannot be any more wrong. You always pancake the disc, you never catch it the way he did. You "can" run through the disc and catch it with a pancake. You always catch the disc with a pancake if possible
