There is no such thing as deobandism. You have scholars from Darul Uloom deoband. You have teachers from Darul Uloom deoband. You have branches of Deoband through-out the globe. The affiliation deobandi is only in scholarship. you know it's a a name of a place. The actual title given to a graduate of Darul-Uloom Deoband is Quasmi.
you are a muslim and you may follow any of the schools of Fiqh be it Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, or Hanbali. (rahima homo Allah)
