Damn... Odd kitchen.

World Cup skiing is on broadcast TV (on NBC/Universal Sports) for every race. Americans have just as much access to watching the races as others do. The problem is: most American population areas are nowhere near any good mountains. Americans don't participate in winter sports in high numbers.

@herodot2 it is hard to catch on here because we dont have as many mountains or as good mountains

@herodot2 I havnt seen a single FIS event on tv since the olympics, it just drives me nuts that i dont get to see any of the races, unbelievable. Of course alot of the nation just doesn't get it, i had a roomate from Georgia last year who is a HUGE baseball fan, i pretty much forced him into watching the downhill and super g in the olympics last year and he thought it was BORING, how can you think thats boring, they travel as fast as most mlb pitchers fastballs!

This video would have been much better without that obnoxious bull dyke yapping away all the tension. Thanks for telling us JUST when she was to fall so watching the video became superfluous.

I think ski racing can be as rough as football sometimes...

Lindey's a fighter! Great icon for American sports.

ouch... i watched her olympic falls and they looked bad too. im sure she will tough this fall out. she's a tough person
This should be America's number 1 sports heroine -- pity Alpine Skiing isn't as well known over here as it is in Europe. This is a tough, exciting, risky sport, and great for TV. And there have been great US racers over the years -- Tamara McKinney, the Mahre brothers, Bode Miller, Picabo Street, Dahron Rahlves, Cindy Nelson, Julie Mancuso, now Lindsey Vonn and Ted Ligety.
