  • 1950 was the first year of play for the Cleveland Browns in the NFL that year coming from the All American Football Conference. Their first game was a 35-10 drubbing of the defending champ Eagles. Philadelphia coach Earl "greasy Neill taunting Browns' coach Paul Brown his team wouldn't keep with the Eagles.Forecast of things to come as the Browns along with the Lions were teams of the 50's. Also eastablishing Paul Brown as the "Father of Modern Football" arguably the greatest coach of all time.
