Finally, with threaded blanks provided by a good friend from Greece, we have a properly built and functioning diesel head for the Norvel .15 glow engine. We have blanks for the entire Norvel line and these will be made and tested with the intention of offering them for sale.
As can be seen, the Norvel makes a pretty good diesel. The only caveat is that you need to use an electric starter, in most cases. My first .15 conversion actually started very easily by hand. Later versions not so, a bit of a mystery. Maybe the old hands have some ideas on this.
But, aside from that we have this version doing 10K down to 3K reliably, on a Grish, 10 X 4 black Tornado prop.
This is on a homebrew of 30% ether, 50% kerosene and 20% castor oil. And, of course, 2% Amsoil cetane booster.
