  • Gracias por subir tan buena música. Te aconsejo que revises el número de catálogo: a la misa en Si menor le corresponde el número 232. para el número de catálogo BWV 242 le corresponde la obra Christe eleison en Sol menor

  • Parts of the Latin Mass were used in Lutheran services, and Bach composed music for other places than just the Leipzig church.

  • i have no idea...that's a wonderful question...maybe he wanted to capture the beauty of the language in is own music. handel did the same and so did many others.

  • It has always puzzled me (and I hope you can answer my question) why Bach (being a protestant) composed so many (incredibly Beautiful and touching) pieces in latin and which somehow show (hidden?) sentiments for the Catholic theology
