Josh Fox, director of Gasland, being arrested at meeting of the panel of the House Science Committee. Members of the committee objected to Fox filming a hearing on a natural-gas drilling technique known as hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking." They also objected to the presence of an ABC News crew. Fox did not have the proper press credentials and the ABC News crew had not given adequate notice that they would be filming, according to committee staff.
"Congress shall make no law...abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press..." Period. Press pass or not. Rep. Andy Harris directly violated Josh Fox's rights by authorizing this arrest. Why was this camera that recorded this YouTube video allowed access, but Fox's camera was not? Ordinary citizens should have access to Congress, not just the main stream media and high-paying lobbyists. It's obvious certain members of Congress are being paid-off to hide the truth about fracking.
